Cobalt Celebrates Trade Show Success with Showstopping Product Portfolio
Tradeshow Updates
As the lights go down on NAB New York, we’re reflecting on the success of this show and IBC 2024. Last month, at IBC in Amsterdam we highlighted our continued commitment to advancing media workflows with an expanded platform that provides ST 2110 support for encoders, decoders, and converters. We shined a light on our many REMI solutions. REMI brings a host of advantages including reduced travel expenses and the ability to share equipment – all of which results in cost savings. It’s essential, however, that content is transmitted between locations without perceptible loss of quality and with very low latency, and Cobalt’s portfolio puts broadcasters on the road to REMI success. If you’d like to learn more about Cobalt’s cost-effective REMI solutions, read this article on page 41 of the June issue of InBroadcast written by our CTO, Dr. Ciro Noronha.
We're thrilled our new IP-focused products received recognition at IBC 2024 with two ‘Best of Show’ Awards. Our Cobalt UltraBlue IP-MV Multiviewer won ‘Best of Show’ from TVB Europe and our INDIGO OG-2110-BIDI-GATEWAY took home the same honor from TV Tech. Our SVP of Worldwide Sales and Marketing, Suzana Brady said, “We’re so grateful to both TVB Europe and TV Tech for these enormous honors. Our products are all developed to accommodate the requirements of our customers, and IP is a predominant factor during all our conversations, so we know we hit the mark with our lineup. But it is also reassuring to know that the journalists and judges that review and evaluate all the new technology in the industry acknowledged our products as some of the best on the entire show floor.”
During the show, KitPlus interviewed our US and LATAM Sales Manager, Chris Garcia. He talked about our COBALT® SAPPHIRE BBG-2110-2H 12G dual-channel unit with independent HDMI outputs, and the COBALT® SAPPHIRE BBG 2110 4-H/S quad channel SMPTE ST 2110 – 20/22 baseband to HDMI / SDI converter unit with four simultaneous HDMI and four simultaneous SDI outputs. At IBC 2024, Suzana was interviewed by IABM’s Chris Evans. During the conversation, she discussed how Cobalt has evolved over the years, continuously staying ahead of industry trends with our IP, 12G, and Multiviewer technologies. You can watch the interview here.
In New York, we featured our newly released Cobalt ARIA OG-AUD4-DANTE cards, UltraBlue IP Multiviewer and SMPTE ST 2110 support. Well-suited for applications ranging from broadcast to Pro AV, our ARIA OG-AUD4-DANTE cards are available in openGear form factor. Available as dual and quad-channel cards, they support up to 12G Dante/AES/MADI/embed and de-embed functions with frame-sync capabilities. The cards feature two gigabit Ethernet ports, a 32x32 or 64x64 configuration and a full audio router mixer. We also offer the Dante capability on our 9904-UDX/9905-MPx processing cards for maximum functionality and flexibility.
