Champaign, IL  –  September 5, 2022 – Cobalt Digital, designer and manufacturer of award-winning edge devices for live video production and master control, and a founding partner in the openGear® initiative, has announced the promotion of Dr. Ciro Noronha to CTO and the appointment of Anthony Tan as director of sales engineering for APAC. According to Chris Shaw, Cobalt COO, the changes reflect the Company’s growth and significant global expansion, especially in the important APAC region. Shaw revealed the news just days before the beginning of IBC2022 where both Noronha and Tan will be on Stand 10.B44 to greet friends, colleagues and customers.

Champaign, IL – August 2, 2022 – Cobalt® Digital Inc. has revealed plans to demonstrate its Indigo 2110-DC-01 SMPTE ST 2110 solution on its 9904-UDX-4K card at IBC on Stand 10.B44. The new option offers support for high density native 4K ST 2110 audio and video processing on openGear® form factor. The Company will also be highlighting the new version of the SafeLink Gateway as a virtual machine, and a higher density solution of +MPx-DANTE-64x64, the industry’s first license-based quad-channel 3G-SDI bridge to Dante® audio. SafeLink reliably transports any audio and video content over the Internet with low latency. Dante is Audinate’s combination of software, hardware and network protocols that deliver uncompressed, multi-channel, low-latency digital audio over a standard Ethernet network. Cobalt Awards from NABSHOW 2022

Champaign, IL — May 6, 2022 – Cobalt Digital Inc. headed home from NAB with four more awards to add to its collection. The designer and manufacturer of edge devices for live video production and master control, and a founding partner in the openGear® initiative, received two Product of the Year awards from NAB as well as two Best of Show awards from Future; one from Next TV and the other from TVB Europe. The awards – for a variety of products – represent the scope of Cobalt’s reach to all segments of a market that spans from Broadcast to Streaming to Pro AV and hits every corner of the globe.

Champaign, IL - April 13, 2022 - Cobalt® Digital will introduce a new series of BlueBox™ Group (BBG) EO/OE 12G mini-converters at NAB 2022. The line-up consists of five 12G versions that include single and dual coax-to-fiber, single and dual fiber-to-coax, and a coax/fiber transceiver.  The announcement was made by Suzana Brady, Cobalt’s SVP of worldwide sales and marketing, who noted that the boxes have been developed in response to customer requests for solutions that go further than 3G capabilities. Champaign, IL – March 8, 2022 – Cobalt® Digital has announced its NAB 2022 plans which include the introduction of +UDX-Dante-16x16, the industry’s first license-based 12G-SDI bridge to Dante audio. The Company will also highlight its new Indigo 2110-DC-01 SMPTE ST-2110 solution, its line of compression products with a multi-link demo of RIST, and new Technicolor features for reversible inverse tone mapping SDR to HDR incorporated into Cobalt products. Demonstrations will take place in Cobalt’s Booth # N3713 on April at NAB 2022.

Champaign, IL – February 3, 2022 – Cobalt® Digital, designer and manufacturer of award-winning edge devices for live video production and master control, and a founding partner of  openGear®, has strengthened its international sales team with the addition of Berend Blokzijl as Director of Sales for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), effective as of February 1. The announcement was made by Suzana Brady, SVP of Worldwide Sales and Marketing, who noted that Blokzijl’s appointment aligns with Cobalt’s global growth initiative having expanded the company in January by adding a representative office in Beijing.

Based in Beijing, the Office is staffed by local sales and support professionals with deep regional knowledge and extensive experience supporting Cobalt’s product portfolio. The office, which represents Cobalt’s expanded reach into the growing China market, opened its doors in late December 2021.
