Cobalt Digital to Launch New 9084 Color Corrector at NAB 2008
Cobalt Digital is pleased to announce the release of the new 9084 HD/SD-SDI RGB Color Corrector. Designed for installation into the flexible openGear™ frame, the 9084 will be available for demonstration during the NAB 2008 show in Las Vegas (Cobalt Digital Booth N2819, North Hall).
The 9084 is a full RGB Corrector (offset, gain and gamma) with YCbCr proc controls and frame synchronizer. It can process HD/SD SDI signals in all formats. Color correction can be applied to entire frame or a sub region, and there is on-card storage of 16 presets. The 9084 has complete remote control via DashBoard software, or from the new Cobalt OGCP-9000 remote control panel. Local control from card edge menu with character display is also provided.
First units are to be shipped to NEP Super Shooters for use in their television production trucks, providing color correction for the POV (point of view) cameras.
“This is another example of Cobalt working closely with an end-user, listening to their needs, and developing a product to provide a solution for the challenges in today’s HD-SD-SDI world. The 9084 Color Corrector is a major addition to Cobalt’s COMPASS™ 9000 series of cards for the openGear™ format. It will also provide a stepping stone towards other new products in the future” said Chris Shaw, Director of Sales for Cobalt.
