TV Technology User Report: 9061/9062 Up/Down/Cross Converters with Frame Sync for openGear
Sure Shot Picks Cobalt Digital
By Kory L. Loy, Sure Shot Engineer
"With the 9061 converter, we can handle almost all signals sent to us with complete confidence. The cards accept composite and component analog video, along with SD and HD SDI. On the audio side of things, they accommodate eight-channel analog and 16-channel AES sources, along with embedded formats. The cards give us the ability to embed and de-embed digital audio with level control and channel mapping capability.
Our 9061/9062 cards are also being used for split feed frame sync needs (with point of view and clock/score devices). Their added ability to do conversions, provide audio and video proc control, audio embedding and de-embedding, channel mapping, aspect ratio conversion have made these cards ideal for use in the "Natalie Michelle." I should mention too that all of these card capabilities are combined with DashBoard software remote control and monitoring."
